Today is Orange Shirt Day.  Orange Shirt Day is an opportunity for all people to come together in the spirit of reconciliation.  Orange Shirt day began in 2013 when residential school survivor, Phyllis Webstad, shared how her orange shirt was taken away on her first day at a residential school.  Here is a link for further information:

We will be going on a field trip to the Leighton Centre on Wednesday, October 23.  We will need four parent volunteers.  If you are a registered volunteer at the school and are available to attend please send me an email.  In order to become a registered volunteer you must have a current police security check.  Please stop by the office if you need to fill out the forms.

The form for the problem solving club is due tomorrow.

We all did a great job during the Terry Fox run!  We were fortunate to have such a lovely morning.  Thanks very much for all of the donations.

This afternoon we went to choose our special tree.  We will be learning about seasonal changes in science.  We will be visiting this tree throughout the seasons to make observations.

Tomorrow we will be having our Terry Fox run.  We will be running around the pond.  We will start in the gym with an assembly at 9:00 am.  Donations are welcome.  Please make sure that your child is wearing runners and comfortable clothes.

On Thursday we be having our first Fun Lunch.
